EQUIOXX 57mg chewable tablets for horses. Active substance: Firocoxib 57mg. Pharmaceutical form: chewable tablets. Scored, convex, round, brown tablets. The tablets are engraved on one side with an "M" above the groove and with a "57" below the groove. Indications of use: relief of pain and inflammation associated with osteoarthritis and reduction of lameness associated to horses. Contraindications: do not use in animals suffering from gastrointestinal or bleeding disorders, or with liver, heart or kidney damage, or with blood dyscrasias. Do not use in breeding, pregnant or lactating animals. Do not use simultaneously with corticosteroids or other non-steroidal antiinflammatory drugs. Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to active substance or any excipient. Adverse reactions: occasionally, lesions (erosion/ulceration) of the oral mucosa and skin around the mouth may be observed in treated animals. Usually, these lesions are mild and resolved without treatment, but oral lesions may be associated with salivation and lip and tongue edema. Waiting time: meat: 26 days.
