Acutomomedicine course for veterinarians
Thursday 23 March 2023On March 21 and 22, we attended the Acutomomedicine course for veterinarians that took place in Madrid, taught by Dr. Roberto González González, doctor specialist in Acupuncture (IPN, Mexico) and a specialist in Traditional Chinese Medicine (MTC University, Beijing, China), and by Dr. Amalia Dávila Hernández, doctor specialist in Acupuncture (IPN, Mexico) and teacher and doctor in Chemical Biological Sciences (IPN, Mexico).
Acutomomedicine is a branch of acupuncture dedicated to treating musculoskeletal and connective tissue diseases that have resulted from chronic soft tissue injuries. Its mechanism of action consists of recovering the dynamic and functional balance of the affected tissues through the use of the acutomo or miniacutomo and performing specific microinvasive techniques for the anatomical structure to be treated.
Basically, acutomomedicine can be clinically applied to treat:
- Injuries to the nuchal and/or supraspinatus ligament
- Muscle fibrosis
- Nerve compressions
- Arthritis
- Tenosynovitis
- Etc.
The objective of the course was to provide veterinarians with the necessary knowledge to be able to apply acutomomedicine treatments safely and efficiently and to integrate this medical practice.
