Description
Askina® Carbosorb is a flexible, non-adhesive activated carbon dressing for wounds that produce malodor. It absorbs bacteria and malodorous substances from the wound, which are retained by the central layer of activated carbon.
It is indicated for the treatment of wounds with little to heavy exudate, especially infected and/or malodorous wounds. In the treatment of wounds with moderate to heavy exudate, Askina® Carbosorb will provide the most favorable conditions for healing in the underlying environment.
The exudate is partially absorbed by the dressing's structure, with excess exudate passing to the secondary dressing, thus preventing potential damage to the wound edges.
It is a highly adaptable dressing that can be trimmed to ensure proper adaptation to different wound situations, even those with cavities. It is compatible with all moist wound healing (MWH) products.
