Girovet collaborates in the “Doma & Mucho +” Project
Friday 12 November 2021During the 2021 Dressage competition season, a pioneering study has been carried out to measure the competition and training effects on the physical and mental condition of the horse. Veterinarian Alicia Pradillo and physical trainer Anne Elise Thiolat have launched this research to sensitize riders about the need to monitor and control the training and competition of horses.
What is proposed through the "Doma & Mucho+" project is a global analysis of the horse's activity, in order not only to determine their condition but also the adequacy of their training related to the essence of the Classic Dressage discipline and their physical aptitudes. To do this, through various parameters such as heart rate, lactate levels, cadence, and trot symmetry, the physical condition of the horse is evaluated during the competition and throughout the season.
From Girovet, we are delighted to have collaborated with this project that shares our objective of improving the well-being of our horses and that will help us understand them better, care for them, respect them, and make the equestrian world aware that you can go far without exceeding the health limits.
