Indications
As adjuvant therapy in the treatment of emergency situations, such as bleeding, endotoxic shock, septicemia, or hypovolemia, when a rapid recovery of the circulatory volume is required in order to restore or maintain the functions of vital organs.
Dose / Application / Administration
HORSES:
Route of administration:
Intravenous.
Dosage:
The recommended dose is 3 to 5ml/kg body weight, administered over a maximum period of 15 minutes, without exceeding a rate of 1ml/kg body weight/min. After the administration of hypertonic sodium chloride, the infusion of isotonic fluids should be continued for one or two hours in order to restore the hydration state of the interstitial space.
In the absence of data on species during periods of pregnancy and lactation, use only in accordance with the benefit-risk assessment made out by the responsible veterinarian.
