HORSES:
Symptomatic treatment of arthritis, osteoarthritis, bursitis and tendinopathies.

Dose / Application / Administration

Route of administration:
Intraarticular. An insulin-type syring will be used to measure and administer volumes of medication less than 1ml.
Dosage:
The following recommendations may require a slight adjustment based on individual responses.
The maximum dose is 120mg of methylprednisolone acetate (equivalent to 3ml of medication) for the simultaneous treatment of different joints. The smaller areas may require a proportional reduction in dosage.
The veterinarian should choose an interval between doses of at least 28 days, minimizing joint exposure to low mobility when repeated doses are necessary. By lengthening the interval between treatments, the risks associated with prolonged use of corticosteroids are reduced.
Do not administer it during pregnancy. The administration in the last third of pregnancy can cause premature births or abortions.
