Indications
For the treatment of mixed infestations caused by cestodes, nematodes or arthropods in horses. The following parasites are sensitive to EQVALAN DUO oral paste:
- Adult tapeworm: Anoplocephala perfoliata, Anoplocephala magna.
- Big strongylus: Strongylus vulgaris, Strongylus edentatus, Strongylus equinus, Triodontophorus spp., Craterostomum acuticaudatum.
- Small strongylus or cyathomones, adults and immatures: Coronocyclus spp., Cyathostomum spp., Cylicocyclus spp., Cylicodontophorus spp., Cylicostephanus spp., Parapoteriostomum spp., Petrovinema spp., Poteriostomum spp.
- Adult piriformis vermes: Trichostrongylus axei.
- Adult and immature pinworms: Oxyuris equi.
- Adult ascaridida and larvae: Parascaris equorum.
- Vermes microfilarias with firiformis neck: Onchocerca spp.
- Intestinal nematodes: Strongyloides westeri.
- Adult vermes with big mouth: Habronema muscae.
- Oral and gastric stage of: Gasterophilus spp.

Route of administration:
Oral.
Dosage:
Doses of 200μg of ivermectin per kg of live weight and 1mg of praziquantel per kg of body weight are equivalent to 1,29g of paste per 100kg of live weight in a single administration.
The combination of ivermectin-praziquantel can be used after the first three months of pregnancy and during lactation. In the absence of clinical data in the first three months of pregnancy, this medicament can only be used in the first three months of pregnancy after a benefit-risk analysis by the responsible veterinarian.
