Indications
This medication is indicated for the treatment of infestations caused by strains sensitive to moxidectin of the following parasites:
- Big strongylus: Strongylus vulgaris, Strongylus edentatus, Triodontophorus brevicauda, Triodontophorus serratus, Triodontophorus tenuicollis.
- Small strongylus: Cyathostomum spp., Cylicocyclus spp., Cylicostephanus spp., Cylicodontophorus spp., Gyalocephalus spp., Parascaris equorum.
- Other species: Oxyuris equi, Habronema muscae, Gasterophilus intestinalis, Gasterophilus nasalis, Strongyloides westeri, Trichostrongylus axei.
The medicament has a 2-weeks persistent activity against small strongylus. Suppresses small Strongylus egg excretion for 90 days.
The medicament is effective against L4 stages that develop small strongylus in the mucosa. At 8 weeks post-treatment, the early (hypobiotic) L3 larvae of small strongylus are removed.

Dose / Application / Administration
Routes of administration:
Oral.
Dosage:
A single oral dose of 400µg of moxidectin/kg of live weight using a dosing syringe. Each indicator mark is equivalent to 25kg of weight and 10mg moxidectin. To ensure correct dosing, the use of a scale or measuring tape is recommended. One syringe is used to treat a 700kg horse.
The medication has been shown to be safe in pregnant and lactating mares.
