For the treatment and prevention of gastric ulcers in horses.

Dosage:
This medicament is effective in horses of various breeds and under different management conditions: in foals over 4 weeks of age and over 70kg of weight, and in breeding stallions.

This medicament is effective in horses of various breeds and under different management conditions: in foals over 4 weeks of age and over 70kg of weight, and in breeding stallions.
- Treatment of gastric ulcers: one administration per day for 28 consecutive days, at a 4mg dose of omeprazole per kg l.w. followed immediately by an administration of 1mg of omeprazole per l.w. once a day for 28 consecutive days to reduce the recurrence of gastric ulcers during treatment. In case of recurrence, is recommended to start the treatment again at a dose of 4mg of omeprazole per kg of live weight. Is recommended to associate the treatment with changes in managment and training practices.
- Prevention of gastric ulcers: one administration per day at a dose of 1mg of omeprazole per kg of weight.
In the absence of data during pregnancy and lactation, the use of this medication in pregnant or lactating mares is not recommended.
