Indications
Mepivacaine is indicated for intraarticular and epidural anesthesia in horses.
Dose / Application / Administration
Route of administration:
Intraarticular and epidural.

Dosage:
- For intraarticular use: 3 to 30ml depending on the size of the joint.
- For epidural use: 0,2 to 0,25mg/kg (1,0 a 1,25ml/100kg), up to a maximum of 10ml/horse, depending on the depth and extent of anesthesia required.
In all cases, the dosage should be kept to the minimum necessary to produce the desired effect. The duration of action is about 1 hour.
Its use during pregnancy and lactation, as well as in cases of obstetric anesthesia, must be based on the benefit/risk assessment carried out by the responsible veterinarian.
