TARGET SPECIES
Horses.
Indications
For the active immunisation of horses from 8 months of age to:
- Reduce the increase in body temperature, coughing, difficulty swallowing, and signs of depression (loss of appetite, behavioural changes) during the acute phase of Streptococcus equi infection.
- Reduce the number of abscesses in the submandibular and retropharyngeal lymph nodes.
Onset of immunity:
- 2 weeks after the second vaccination dose.
Dose / Application / Administration
Route of administration:
Intramuscular use.
Dosage:
Primary vaccination:
Administer one dose (2 ml) by intramuscular injection, followed by a second dose (2 ml) four weeks later.

QUALITATIVE AND QUANTITATIVE COMPOSITION
One dose (2 ml) contains:
Active substances:
- Recombinant PEC protein of Streptococcus equi: ≥ 111.8 micrograms*
- Recombinant Eq85 protein of Streptococcus equi: ≥ 44.6 micrograms*
- Recombinant IdeE protein of Streptococcus equi: ≥ 34.6 micrograms*
* Determined by in vitro potency assays (ELISA).
Adjuvants:
- Purified Quillaja saponins QS-21 (fraction C): ≥ 260 micrograms
- Cholesterol
- Phosphatidylcholine
