Indications
HORSES:
- As an analgesic: relief of moderate to severe abdominal pain associated with colic of gastrointestinal origin.
- As a sedative: for sedation, after the administration of certain α2 adrenergic agonists (detomidine, romifidine).

- For analgesia: 1ml of product/100kg p.c. Analgesic effects are observed 15 minutes after the injection. The dose can be repeated when necessary.
- For sedation in combinated administration with detomidine hydrochloride: 0,25ml of product/100kg b.w. Detomidine should be administered up to 5 minutes before the butorphanol dose.
- For sedation in combinated administration with romifidine: 0,2ml of product/100kg b.w. Romifidine should be administered up to 5 minutes before the butorphanol dose.
The use of butorphanol is not recommended during pregnancy or lactation.
